Liebster Award

I’m back with my very first nomination for a blog award and I’m so excited! I would like to thank Aanya for nominating me. What is the Liebster Award?

The Liebster Award is an award that exists only on the internet and is given to bloggers by other bloggers to connect and support the blogging community. The earliest case of the award goes as far back as 2011. Liebster in German means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.

    • Anything sweet and sour! I really don’t know why. Please don’t hate me.
  7. What inspires you to keep blogging?

    1. Hello momshie! Thank you very much for reading! 🥰

Well, I didn’t mean to put “being in the spotlight” as a bad thing, because it’s actually good for one’s well-being. But when I was in high school, I was really narcissistic. 😅 I had this inflated sense of self-importance because I was in the star section and had talent in music and sports. I made it a point that everybody knew how I was the “not your ordinary girl” type because I was “good-looking and intelligent and talented at the same time” and not the typical teenage girl who was just all ‘make-up and girly stuff’ so I involved myself in a lot more extracurricular activities in school just to show others that I can do even more and maintain myself ‘in the spotlight’.😂 In my mind, I was better than everybody else. 😂🤢 Ugh so cringey! 😅 But in reality I was only some average girl trying so hard to hide the ugly parts of my life in order to “fit in”. Haha I’m even shaking my head in disgust right now as I recall. 😅

When I went to medical school, the interplay of hardships and the people I met influenced me into having this new mindset—minimal living and just low-key and focused on what truly matters. And I was amazed because I saw myself flourish like never before. 🌸 It really turned my whole life around! It’s like I was in a deep hole of delusion for so long and I was pulled out into reality. I’m still having little ‘in the spotlight’ moments tho but now it’s the spotlight that unexpectedly finds me. 😊 And as I look back on my younger years, I realized that it was really super messed up. I kinda regret it because I missed a lot of good stuff in my teenage years because I focused on the things that I thought was pleasing to others, not thinking if I was being true to myself doing those stuff before. So yeah, now I prefer to be ‘behind the scenes’ and just being true to myself and striving for my dreams in silence. But I guess it was the teenage spirit and all, and even tho I regret it, I’m still glad it happened because I’ve grown through it and learned my lessons. 😁

Wow that was a long reply! 😂

      1. Hahaha! Long indeed but a very eloquent one 💕 Your description was so cute like I can totally imagine you and what you meant despite this being our first conversation…

What you said is true… we tend to outgrow our juvenile behavior as we get older… and with the hopes that we have changed for the better.

From what I can see based on how you’ve come up with the realization that it’s best to focus on what really matters, you’ve certainly evolved to a better version of yourself, I think you’re doing great… ❤️

      2. Thank you! I’m just really comfortable talking to people here on the blogosphere 🙂 it’s like home. 😊

True, I guess we all have different rates of growth too since I find that there are still people in my age now that has that personality I had in high school 😂 but I don’t want to judge them because sometimes it’s their experiences in life that mold them the way they are.

Thanks very much for your sweet comment, momshie! ❤ Much appreciated 🥰
